With the growing number of single Jewish young adults in the city of Chicago, many Rabonim and Askanim in the city agreed that this is an issue that needs to be addressed. The Chicago Shidduch Initiative (CSI) was established to create ways to enhance opportunities for men and women to find their zivug. CSI has various programs to facilitate these opportunities. They vary from practical information, such as assistance in booking flights to meet someone living in another state, to personal growth advice from dating coaches.
With the guidance of shadchanim and Rabonim in the community, The Chicago Shidduch Initiative has begun to flourish into a hub of resources and services to help those who need. CSI has created more and more opportunities for one to find a date and has helped single men and women navigate through the shidduch process. It is the vision of CSI to continue to facilitate many more dating opportunities and to see our single community under the chuppah.
In addition, The Chicago Shidduch Initiative is committed to boosting and publicizing Chicago as a wonderful place to get married and raise a frum family. Beyond the outstanding day schools to choose from, multiple shuls and kollelim in every community and some of the best kosher restaurants and grocery stores in the country, there are dynamic institutions, scenic views and cultural offerings in the city.
The Chicago Shidduch Initiative is generously sponsored by the Bassman Family Foundation.
